How to Make Your RV Feel More Like Home
Life on the road in your RV can be really exciting. But after a while, you may find that you miss the comforts of home. It’s easy to make your RV feel more homelike and personalized without spending a lot of money or going to a lot of effort! Here are some of the ways you can give your RV that cozy, personal touch you crave when you’re on your travels.
Soften Things Up
Blankets and pillows can really elevate your RV’s interior and make it warmer and more inviting. Toss some throw pillows on your couches and your bed for a splash of colorful comfort. Bring in your favorite fleece blanket or homemade quilt to throw over the back of a couch. You’ll want to nestle in and read a book right away!
Add Photos
It’s very easy to hang up pictures of friends, family, pets, and the places you’ve been in your RV. If you don’t want to frame photos, you can create a hanging cord by knotting clothespins on a piece of twine at spaced-out intervals. This lets you clip photos up and change them out as you like. Putting photos under magnets on your fridge is another easy, inexpensive option.
Create a Nice Scent
While burning standard candles is generally not a great idea in an RV, you can create a soothing aroma in a number of other ways. For example, you could hang up sachets of lavender in your bedroom to provide a comforting floral scent or spray lavender essential oil on your bed. You can purchase fresh flowers every time you stop to camp to brighten up the kitchen. Investing in an oil diffuser or a wall plug-in that’s scented can also make your RV smell like whatever you want it to.
